Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), and Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) have reached an agreement to end a two-week-long strike which resulted in non-activity in the sector and caused losses exceeding 2 Billion Naira to stakeholders and customs authorities.
The strike had an adverse impact on small-scale businesses and clearing agents, causing significant financial losses. To provide some relief to affected stakeholders and businesses, parties involved reached an agreement to cap tariff at 75% – giving some relief for affected stakeholders and businesses alike.
NAHCO and SAHCOL are major contributors to Nigerian economy, contributing significantly to trade and commerce. Unfortunately, their recent strike had an enormous impact on their respective sectors, leading to significant financial losses for all parties involved.
The agreement reached is an encouraging step that should help restore normalcy to the sector. All parties involved should continue working together to avoid another strike action that would have serious repercussions for our economy and should never happen again.

Hi Esau
It’s no longer news that the tariff by the handling companies has been raised to the 75 percent.
